Day Two

Learning to Let Go

You don't have to hold everything alone

One of the things I've learned along the way is that sometimes what exhausts us more than the difficulty itself is the constant attempt to control it. We try to understand. To plan. To anticipate. To hold everything together.

But not everything is in our hands. And there is both sadness in that, and great relief.

Today I invite you to let go for a moment. Not to give up. Not to ignore. Simply to set down what you've been carrying, just for a few minutes. You can always pick it back up. But for now, put it down.

Before you listen

Close your eyes. Think of one thing that has been occupying you lately, something you've been trying to solve, understand, or control. Simply notice it. Hold it gently. And then, as you listen, allow yourself to release it for a little while.

The peace we seek does not always arrive when everything falls into place. Sometimes it arrives in the moment we stop holding everything alone.
